People don't know what music means these days. Singers only shout and then they become famous and their songs become hits: Mr.Kedarnath Bhattacharjee (Kumar Sanu)
I was surprised to hear that Sanuji is echoing my words. I said the same thing when Oscar was awarded to Allah Rakha Rahman (A.S.Dileep Kumar before conversion) by the US team to gain some political mileage. I have said that in the song Jai Ho, Sukhwinder was made to shout in a railway station--which is nothing but fantasy. Nobody dances with troops in busy Railway stations nor do people shout in "Sunsan" (Lonely and quiet) railway stations--but Hollywood had to give baits to the Muslim world because at that time Israel was attacking HMAS (a Islamic Terrorist organisation with whom some of our Majlis ittehadul Muslimeen or MIM leaders have connections) and the UPA government was busy delivering AID to victimes of Israeli attack in Gaza (which included HMAS Terrorits to get Muslim votes. Now everyone forgot this and is blaming Varun Gandhi) and hence the award.
I said at that time that OSCAR had nothing to do with the quality of films--it was just a political award.
Remember the cast and how the diabolic minds of those in Hollywood worked:
1. The actress was a Christian,
2. The Music Director a Muslim Convert
3. Film Director, a British,
4. Singer of the song: Sukhwinder Singh, Labana Sikh
5. Film: A Hollywood production
6. Story: Extremely Negative projection of India so that it is liked by Pakistani (a Key US ally) audience.
7. Song type---Western style (Sudden rise of pitch from lower octave to higher octave) with a slight touch of Hindustani Classical.
8. Song quality---one of the worst considering other A R Rahman compositions but won award probably to please the Muslim world as US is in operation to root out Taliban ....
There are so many things to be told and discussed, but for the time being this much. It is because I do not want Indian "Whore" media (Except Zee TV, News X, etc) to start making noise again on this topic and score a point over my writings. They have now again started milking the Varun Gandhi issue--how can they forget this story which gave them so much advertisement revenues---after-all what does a prostitute do--sell and sell and sell Sex of any type, as long as it is sellable...
Last week's discussion on Women Reservation on NDTV Ltd may be in retaliation to the voting pattern on my blog; which whole-heatedly supported Mr.Sharad Jadav--- A full article is coming up soon.
These women dacoits, in the form of Feminists (and some politicians like Jayanti Natarajan) should be put behind bars for hatching out a conspiracy to deprive men of their legitimate rights to stand from any part of India and enter Parliament.......I cannot understand how pervert these men and women (or some political parties) could be that they want to deprive a whole race for their own benefits---I really cannot think how to describe these scoundrels and devils.
May be to tone down these kinds of vixens Hazarat Muhammad in Kuran said, "beat them up"....
Indians are already tired of reservations and reservations but these people want to start a new form of reservation and that too in a pervert way, cheating a whole community---shame upon these feminists and those parties which are supporting this bill. I liked Shiv Sena which more or less opposed the bill at least on Television. These few women are again trying to divide the society into men--women, Girls--boys, male--female, etc. There are so many lines open to women, which they can try and become number one. Why dirty politics??!! If women can become Judge without reservation, they can become parliamentarian without any prop---these nonsenses are propagating a "Pervert Idea".
I do not understand the logic behind luring women into DIRTY POLITICS, when there are so many fields open for women to outshine men. Also many evils against (Hindu) women were removed by men only, starting from eradication of Sati (Raja Ram Mohan Roy and present movement by Swami Agnibesh) to widows remarriage and female education [Ishwar Chandra Bandopadhyaya (Vidhyasagar), Justice Mahadev Govind Ranade], to working against infant (girl child) marriage (Justice Mahadev Govind Ranade), etc.
I thought world got relief when Phoolan Devi was killed, but these days I see a bunch of new Phoolan Devis storming the television studios with one point agenda, to deprive men of their constitutional rights or support those teenage girls who were dancing half-naked (drunk) with boys in Mangalore pubs.....
This is the culture these television channels and feminists wants our sisters and daughters to do/adopt.......Shame upon India's "Whore Media" for supporting these brands of "Goondas" and "Wretched/Selfish souls". I do not understand why Brinda Karat or Jayanti Natarajan or Mamata Banerjee needs reservation to come to Parliament!! Do the high and mighty, either male or female, need any reservation anywhere?? If Meera Kumar or Mawawati from backward communities, can do, why can't other women do the same......??!!
THIS WOMEN RESERVATION BILL SHOULD BE THROWN IN DUST-BINS or GARBAGE-BINS.
I am not getting time as my mom is in hospital or else I could have penned the whole article already...]
I don't like the way music is treated today. I do not want to associate myself to any kind of music tampering. People don't know what music means these days. Singers only shout and then they become famous and their songs become hits. Melody, sur, taal and those nuances are lost. I am lucky that I don't have to sing these songs today.
The first thing a music director asks for these days is do something different. How different can one's voice be? It's the same human voice, after all. People don't need singers today, they just need somebody who can shout. The songs are filled with sound effects and the essence of the singer's voice is lost. I was determined not to sing these kinds of songs.
The reason why this is happening is because the trend has changed. That's why people cannot afford to sing just a song or two like they did in my days. Things have changed and nobody has the time to even think about the art of music.
Art is dying. You don't pay attention to the story and the music because your attention is on everything else -- money, deadlines, marketing, advertising, being the top actor or actress, minimal clothes, vulgarity..
Take Slumdog Millionaire, for example. The kind of ruckus and hype the film got was totally unnecessary. They have shown a lot of negativity about our country but haven't shown a remedy or solution to the problems. To top it, the film won Oscars for its music.
I believe A R Rahman has done a much better job in his other films. Jai Ho won an Oscar, but I can bet no one knows a line beyond these two words.
Rahman should have been awarded for his work in Bombay and Roja.
I was awarded the Filmfare Award for five years consecutively and nobody can dare ask me on what basis I was awarded. When Aashiqui released, there was no other film that reached its level in terms of music. Similarly, during Saajan (Mera Dil Bhi Kitna Pagal Hain), Deewana (Tere Umeed Mein Tera Intezaar Karte Hain), Baazigar (Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen) and 1942: A Love Story.
I should have been awarded for Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. But because I asked for remuneration for the songs, they disqualified me. That was the biggest mistake of my life. After that incident, I haven't sung a single song for Yash Raj Films.
