Benefits of Rs 325-cr package only on exports to EU, US: Nath
Times Now, please do not show us the shameless face of Renuka Choudhury in your programmes (However, I must say that off late, you have improved the quality of your contents and I must appreciate that), who encourages people (including teenagers) to go and booze or get drunk in pubs.
By the grace of such Union Ministers and media Channels like NDTV Ltd, now you can send your sisters and daughters in Pubs for Free Sex and Drugs/Alcohols; as this is your constitutional right to go to a pub and do anything there.....You can even send you teenage daughters to dance naked with boys (of same religion or different religion) in pubs across Mangalore, after having right doses of drug/alcohol. Or you can even hire a prostitute and have oral sex (or may be Sex) inside pubs....After all we have one Union Minister, to bail out all these unholy pub owners. Why??!! Simple....Just use your brain a bit and you will be able to find out the answer. A R Rahman rightly said, "Jai Ho". India indeed is "A Slumdog..........." due to these kinds of political masters.
Her call of "Pub Bharo" was one of the worsts, in the political annals of Indian Union. It is strange how this minister is still continuing in the office inspite of giving out such atrocious statements in front of 1 billion population.....She should be removed immediately, or else she might cause some more embarrassment to the UPA.
It is strange that Mr.Advani talks only of violence on Girls (Mangalore Pub incident) and not on both (boys also go assaulted)....Please Mr.Advani I respect you but no "Gender Bias"...
It seems he fell into the trap of Journalists who actually extracted favourable statements from him. Mr.Advani should be careful while opening his mouth before the elections.....
Anyone can protest against anything and this is his natural right in a democracy.
Or should we demolish all protest institutions, turning ourselves into insensitive souls or vegetables??!!
If people like Kapil Sibal or Renuka Choudhury or Manish Teewari do not understand these simple things, then I would only say, "Woaaaaaahhhhhhhh.......Woahaaaaaahhhhhh.....Kya Baat hai.........".
So Rama Sene was right (Many groups have done that in the past, including an women's group in Kerala, some years back) if they wanted to protest against some evils going inside the pub (According to their version there were some illicit things going inside the pub including naked dance, "Nanga Naach Naach rahe the woh sob".....) but they did a mistake by taking law in their own hands.
The things are simple and everyone is able to understand if correct things are presented. But the media seems to find a story in it everytime to fill their slots.....Unfortunate!!
Moreover, NDTV Ltd did not have the courage to show what I have written in my blog, as I slammed them from nose to feet. They picked up those writings adn showed them on their channels, which suited their policy of deceit and lies. Please keep a track of the activities of all these thugs and give them a fitting reply in the next election---just go out vote these and their perpatrators out of power.
NEW DELHI: The government announced on Saturday that incentives under a Rs 325-crore package for leather and textile exports would be available only on shipments to the US and Europe and was limited to six months from April 1.
The government announced the multi-crore package on Thursday to support exporters hit by demand slump in the US and Europe, pending a decision on who would benefit from it. "In pursuance of this announcement, it was decided... to grant benefits under Market Linked Focus Product Scheme at a special rate of two per cent on... value of exports of all leather products and apparels," Commerce Minister Kamal Nath said today.
He said: "This incentive will be available to exports of products to European Union and the USA only. This special benefit is for a limited period of six months." The benefits would accrue on exports made from April 1, this year.
The US and Europe account for 80 per cent of India's leather exports valued at $3.5 billion. This year the growth is likely to be flat, Leather Export Promotion Council Chairman Habib Hussain said.
New policy to trigger growth in coal-rich statesSixty per cent of the apparels exported from India go to the US and EU, earning $9.7 billion in 2007-08. Sales in April-November period of this fiscal was $6.1 billion.
Estimates suggest that the garment industry employs seven million people, including 3.9 million in export sector. Nath said the estimated quantum of benefits in the form of duty credit scrip will be nearly Rs 325 crore. "The primary ibjective of this incentive is to provide support to these two employment-oriented sectors."
Apparel Export Promotion Council Chairman Rakesh Vaid said: "We were expecting more. But it's a small step which will help the industry." India's exports have declined since September and has plunged the most (22 per cent) in January, which the government attributed to "unexpected" trends. "It is little unexpected.
There were not many orders in the last quarter," Commerce Secretary G K Pillai had said. In the interim Foreign Trade Policy unveiled on Thursday, Nath scaled down the export target for the current fiscal to $170-175 billion dollar from $200 billion set earlier. He retained $200 billion as the target for 2009-10.
