WINNING STROKES: THINK DIFFERENT
[2nd Update at 3.10 pm---should India carry "Hot Pursuit" in Pakistan?? Should Indian Army lose time in thinking too much.....]
Arshiya International Ltd (BSE Code-->506074) which was recommended in the latest Sunday Report, reached Rs.97.5 before cooling down a bit. The scrip gave more than 15% return in just a matter of 5 days. The company is into logistics and allied business. But why is it rising up..?? Phoenix International Ltd rose more than 8% today on the positive news. The company is going to get benefit from the Gas discovery of Focus Energy Ltd. The Gas production is expected to start from 2009.
Ennore Coke Ltd hit the buyer freeze today with reasonable volume, but why?!! What is the latest on the company??!! People wil not buy shares when I tell them to buy, but they will ask if the same share is good to buy when it has risen quite a bit, increasing the risks....But what to say??!!.......80% of the investors are like that.....
One of my favourite IT counters Infosys Technologies Ltd rose by more than 4.49% today, with good volume, on the news of the improvement of the fundamentals of the US economy. What is the another one, of which I am very bullish....??!!
Intra-day Calls on Punj Lloyd and Tanla Solutions did well today. Punj Lloyd as mentioned came out with spectacular set of numbers; almost similar is the case for Tanla Solutions Ltd. The latter was recommended earlier also.
Educomp Solutions Ltd recommended only some days back to the Paid and Free Groups moved by 9.82% with good volumes.
My recommended Sujana Towers Ltd (BSE Code-->532887) moved up by more than 7.5% on the NSE with good volumes. I have already put a research report on the counter in www.sumansspeaksplus.blogspot.com. English Indian Clay Ltd is lying low even as the company came out with spectacular set of numbers for the September, 2008 quarter and the company has purchased land for its upcoming starch manufacturing project. Grab the share now with a SL of Rs.34.5. The stock has already formed a rock solid bottom and is expected to move up from here. The company is coming up with rights issue at Rs.1000 per share to fund the upcoming starch manufacturing plant.
Reliance Industrial Infrastrucutre Ltd came out with flat set of numbers for the September, 2008 quarter even in this downturn. But the infrastructure stocks will get the maximum benefits, as the present government is expected to announce a large number of Infrastructure Projects within a very short time. That is why I have again recommended Punj Lloyd Ltd.
Indowind Energy Ltd (BSE Code--->532894) moved up by more than 6% yesterday, with comparatively good volumes. Indowind Energy Limited develops wind farms for sale, manages the wind assets, generates green power for sale to utilities and corporates, Turnkey implementation of Wind Power Projects, from concept to commissioning. It also undertakes, Wind Asset Management Solution for installed assets, including operations, billing, collection of revenue to project customers. It undertakes the Supply of Green Power to Customers and in turn earns the coveted CERs (Carbon Credits). Moreover it also into Carbon Credit Sales and Trading. The green energy companies would get the maximum benefits from the US, as the Democrats have decided to give huge support/patronage to the Alternate Energy Companies to tide over, their excessive dependence on the Crude Oil. Buy the stock at the CMP of Rs.25.10, for a target of Rs.35--Rs.42.5. The stock has cleared a major resistance yesterday and should move up. It has consolidated around the current range for a long time and have formed a rock solid bottom. It has a very strong support at Rs.22, which could be used as a stop loss. The stock has broken into the envelop pattern and is all set to conquer the first target of Rs.28, before moving up. MACD, Bollinger Bands, and Stochastic are in buy mode. The company came out with good set of numbers for the September, 2008 quarter.
An investor told me that some misinformation were spread by an analyst from Angel Broking Ltd on CNBC TV18, regarding the behaviour of the New York Stock Exchange on 9/11, in the US; saying that. "Our memory is short".
However, no one can escape my roving eyes if he shits in the media too fool the public. Earlier, Udayan M, got screwed when he tried to be over-smart on the GDP numbers, by saying that it should come around 6.9% or below 7%, as according to him, in FY09, GDP would be dot on 7%; negating P Chidambaram's view that, "It could be between 7% to 7.9%........ha....I think we have a FM in the waiting, after the new government assumes power. I had commented earlier also that, 'When you start feeling that he has improved a bit, the next day, this Bong, from Kolkata will do such a terrible thing, that he will prove that he is just nuts". Of course he is much junior to me and lacks maturity in the markets....so forgiven!!
This is what I want to say on this: The September 11 attacks (often referred to as nine-eleven, written 9/11) were a series of coordinated suicide attacks by al-Qaeda upon the United States on September 11, 2001. On that morning, 19 Islamist terrorists affiliated with al-Qaeda hijacked four commercial passenger jet airliners. The hijackers intentionally crashed two of the airliners into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, killing everyone on board and many others working in the building. Both buildings collapsed within two hours, destroying at least two nearby buildings and damaging others. The hijackers crashed a third airliner into the Pentagon. The fourth plane crashed into a field near Shanksville in rural Somerset County, Pennsylvania, after some of its passengers and flight crew attempted to retake control of the plane, which the hijackers had redirected toward Washington, D.C. There are no survivors from any of the flights.
Economic effects arising from the September 11 attacks: The attacks had a significant economic impact on the United States and world markets. The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the American Stock Exchange (AMEX), and NASDAQ did not open on September 11 and remained closed until September 17.
When the stock markets reopened, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) stock market index fell 684 points, or 7.1%, to 8921, a record-setting one-day point decline.
By the end of the week, the DJIA had fallen 1,369.7 points (14.3%), its largest one-week point drop in history. U.S. stocks lost $1.4 trillion in value for the week. This is equivalent to $1.7 trillion in present day terms.
In New York City, about 430,000 job-months and $2.8 billion in wages were lost in the three months following the 9/11 attacks. The economic effects were mainly focused on the city's export economy sectors. The city's GDP was estimated to have declined by $27.3 billion for the last three months of 2001 and all of 2002. The Federal government provided $11.2 billion in immediate assistance to the Government of New York City in September 2001, and $10.5 billion in early 2002 for economic development and infrastructure needs.
The 9/11 attacks also hurt small businesses in Lower Manhattan near the World Trade Center, destroying or displacing about 18,000 of them. Assistance was provided by Small Business Administration loans and federal government Community Development Block Grants and Economic Injury Disaster Loans. Some 31.9 million square feet of Lower Manhattan office space was damaged or destroyed. Many wondered whether these jobs would return, and the damaged tax base recover.
Studies of the economic effects of 9/11 show that the Manhattan office real-estate market and office employment were less affected than initially expected because of the financial services industry's need for face-to-face interaction.
So it will be wrong to say that noting happened post, September, 11, attack--if anyone is saying this, he/she is simply trying to mislead people/investors/traders.
That is why I said earlier, that society creates terrorists.......
Please read the caption below, "We don't leave the enemy alive"....Only represents the Cruelty and Barbarism of the people who were entrusted to save some people trapped inside a building, with dangers lurking on all sides.
If we scrutinise closely, you can easily find the humongous cruelty in the above statements, from a layman's point of view.
I have seen that those Muslim Boys from Pakistan who played the role of, "Real life Terrorists", (William Shakespeare said, "World is a stage and we are all actors") repeatedly waving "White Flags" (In this case white handkerchief) to surrender to th
e security forces. But what did our "Brave Jawans" do........instead of allowing them to surrender?? They charged them and killed them, trampling all the "Human Rrights and Human Values under their feet".
Even Hindu Religion says, "Never kill a defenceless soldier". But what to say about to an army of "Black dressed" individuals, who do not have the basic moral values. Is this what is taught in Indian Army---to kill the defenceless and vulnerable. If we had caught them we could have paraded in front of Television Channels revealing the identity of these people; shutting the tall talk of Pakistan Foreign Minister and his ilks. I am ofcourse not talking of any mercy to these guys, who have committed "henious crimes"---please do not mistake me for that.........
I have seen the footage of US-Iraq War in early 21st century and have seen how the Iraqi Troops who showed white flags were asked to surrender--not one or two but in batches after batches......
I am ashamed by the behaviour of commandos and their inefficiencies. These things will now be under intense international scrutiny, and we will definitely cut a very sorry figure to the International community as far as our track record of human rights abuse goes. What is more surprising that we need more than 100 Commandos and equal number of Army and Police persons running after only 10 terrorists to flush them out....and that took so much time and killing so many hostages in the process.
Oh my goodness!!! This is called an operation??!! God help India and India's Security Forces.....!! Even then the "Poor Indian media fellows" and vested group of politicians want to project it as a successful operation??!! Don't make me laugh and laugh, till I get tired....
One of the impatient Mumbaikars was heard saying, "Itna time kiu lag raha hai, sob ko AK47 de do, hum usko thok denge".......This is the real feeling of the people on the streets, about India's defence forces. How long will Indian Defence forces hide such inefficiency under the Government Carpet?? Only time can tell.....
THIS INCIDENT OF KILLING OF SO MANY INNOCENT PEOPLE BY THE TERRORIST IN THE BOTH THE HOTELS AND NARIMAN HOUSE, ONLY POINTS TO A SHABBY SECURITY SYSTEM AND PLANNING WE HAVE IN INDIA TO COMBAT SUCH EXTRAORDINARY SITUATIONS.
ALL THE TAX PAYERS MONEY IS GOING BY THE DRAIN UNDER THE UPA GOVERNMENT. I AM FEELING DISGUSTED TO SEE, PEOPLE CHEERING THOSE MAN IN BLACK, WHO CAN ONLY BE DEFINED BY ONE TERM, "ILL-TRAINED".
Moreover, is this the face of Indian Army, operating in Kashmir to counter, "Jihadi Terrorism.....". However much the political parties try to make me understand that, "Terrorism has no religion, I will not buy that illogical reasoning". There is a difference between the Terrorism carried on by the LTTE or earlier by the IRA in UK and now by the Radical Islamic Groups. So please do not lecture me on this front......I know to distinguish between "curd and milk", though both of them have the same source, "The cow". Your illogical reasonings, will not be able to "Cow down" my sentiments in this front.
And when will the inefficient, Mr.Shivraj Patil resign from the UPA Cabinet......I think if he has a little shame or little moral conscience left, till now, he should resign immediately, instead of clinging to the post of Home Minister......
But "this is India, meri jaan" here you will see this kinds of absurdities and aberrations.....People do not understand that, these commandos are paid "Hefty Amounts" by the GOI, for carrying on such works. You will just get spellbound, if you know their Pay scales as regards to their academic background.
There is nothing special if they are doing their jobs---flushing out terrorist is their jobs like I do my business; so where is the surprise element??!!
I lament to see the game plan of the security forces in India where so many innocent lives are lost, not only due to their ill planning of the entire event but also due to the "ill-trained black dressed guys". I also do not understand why negotiations were not done between Terrorists and GOI so that casualties could be less...??!!
Moreover the UPA Government at the centre might now say, "Law and order is a state subject, so what can we do.??!!"
My friend you could have done a lot, if you had the will to do, instead of playing politics with Malegaon Blast to garner minory votes. Dr. Manmohan Singh, you have the same colour government (as you are) in Maharashtra??!! Why did't you ask your affiliated government to beef up security in the state when the Taj Hotel knew, 3 (three) months before, that there could be a terrorist strike in Bombay.
How much protection did the Maharastrian Government give to the North Indians and South Indians, who (I am told most of the commandos who took part in the operation were from North or South of India) saved Bombay from this ordeal??!!
Moreover, the amount of time the "Black Dressed Guys" took to capture a couple of young guys loaded with mere hand grenades and LMGs, will invariably raise many eyebrows, if analysed properly. Shame on you Indian Army---this is your quality??!!
We were only privy to some circus or acrobatic tricks on mid air, due to "Omnipresent" media cameras, hijacking other news or chucking out other important news from our views. These cameras known to create sensation only to keep their kitchen fire burning, did a mess, with the operation---revealing all the details of the army positions to the terrorists.
This prompted the Indian Navy Chief to say, "What you have done was not at all good, as the terrorists could know everything from the TV sets present in the Taj Hotel rooms and through their Blackberry Mobile sets"; which caused problems to us.
After the Malegaon "leaking episode", this is another, "condemnable/shocking" episode, which will not go down well in the annals of "Media History". I have told earlier also, unless the wings of the media channels are clipped a bit, India has dark days ahead. The zeal to sensitise those events was so much by the media that it failed even to show respect to our former Prime Minister, Mr.V P Singh who passed away only some days back...
Now some media channels have problems with Mr.Narendra Modi announcing a prize of Rs.1 Cr for the Police Officers, who lost their lives--and they deserved so, this time at least. It seems media is allergic to Mr.Modi or may be they want to gain currency among the minority audience by criticizing Mr.Modi all the time.
Instead of blaming the NDA for this terrorist attack, the media should do well to focus what the UPA Government has done in the last few days for the security of people. Prior to this event which hit the "Elite of South Bombay" and hence PM thought fit to call on his counterpart in Pakistan, bombs were bursting here and there, causing immense casualties to the common man. Did you forget the Assam Blast, where in a day 13 (thirteen) blast took place, but what happened till now?? What is the progress of investigation, till now??!!
Now when the Terror showed its monstrous face to the "South Bombay Elites and Foreign Nationals including Americans", the PM, thought of contacting the head of this "the mischievous state called Pakistan".
It is high time India Carries a "Hot Pursuit" in Pakistan to flush out the terrorist camps there to bring an end to this episode. We had enough of this in the last couple of decades and enough is enough. Why we have to talk to these, treacherous guys in Pakistan every time such tragic events occur---we need action now; as we have seen all these "Vain Dialogues" occuring again and again, in the last couple of decades with no result on the table. The time has come, to "Run the talk". This is not the time for fruitless "Dinner Conferences" and Joint press meets. Indian Army should just go all out and cut the "Gorgons head"---the time is running out fast.....If USA can come from such a distant land to fight in Afganistan, why can't we......??!! Pakistan has launched a "Proxy war" against India in the name of religion and this cannot be tolerated time and again.
Moreover, could you remove that irritating, Mr. M Tiwari, representing the UPA, from our views on Television Channels......UPA should do well to bring in guys who knows to talk with some decency, in front of media cameras. If there is no one to represent the UPA in front of the media channels, could we at least have, Dr.Abhishek Mani Singhvi???......I think many of us cannot tolerate "That one" (John McCaine again)!!
While Mr. Advani was shouting about "Terrorism from across the border" engulfing our country, the UPA was busy playing the dangerous game with Malegaon blast just on the eve of elections to gain political mileage. I do not know if the UPA, would get minority votes this time, leave alone the majority votes.......
Of course UPA has created, a history by putting India's name in "Guiness Book of World Record", as, "The most porous Border line in the World". You can board a dingy (a small boat), come to India, have one month stay in Taj Hotel and then return to Pakistan only to come back to India with ammunition to destroy its population and create mayhem---"Sabash Bhai", this is the true face of a democratically elected government in India"!!
Political Parties, after 15 days might again start fighting on Malegaon blast to garner votes--you people are on the verge of selling our country....leave alone the safeguarding the "Tolerant Hindus".
Now again coming to the discussion on the Malegaon blasts: The ATS Chief might have thought that he had earlier committed mistake by leaking "Sensitive Information" to the media and "Sensitising the issue" related to a small blast in Malegaon and wanted to change that perception. That is why they might charged the enemy, to prove a point, losing some of their brave officers.
Now the question remains, without showing any disrespect to the former head of ATS, "Did he do the right thing to leak sensitive information to the media, resulting in communal tension in India and Pakistan"? The answer is just a simple and plain, "NO". ATS did make a grave mistake or we can say the mistake of the ATS was "that one" (if we use Sen John McCaines language).........
We have seen enough of Srinivasan Jain and Rajdeep Sardesai's brand of journalism---it is high time they take, "Sanyas" from this field.
As regards to marine commandos, I would only say, "Either give them proper training and equipments or sack the current lot to recruit fresh new ones"...this group is just, "Worthless" and of "No Use". I do not have the habit of praising something, which do not deserve praise.....
'We don't leave the enemy alive'
A Ganesh Nadar in Mumbai
"That's not our policy -- to leave the enemy alive," Arutselvam of the National Security Guard said as he emerged from Nariman House in Colaba, south Mumbai, at 1030 pm, after the long security operation against the terrorists who had taken over the Jewish centre. He was calm and looked relaxed. The fatigue of working for 18 hours had not taken its toll. At least, it did not show.
The NSG commandos arrived at Nariman House directly from the airport and were not planning to return to their headquarters near New Delhi "Some of us are going to the Taj to help, the others will wait. We don't know where these terrorists will turn up next."
The commandos got into the buses and nonchalantly started chatting amongst themselves. The crowds outside the buses went berserk. Some cheered, others clapped. "Bharat Mata Ki Jai," screamed the crowd.
Two-and-a-half hours earlier, at 8 pm, the situation was different. Sporadic gunfire could be heard from Nariman House. Explosions rocked the area at frequent intervals. The crowds and television crews were being kept at a distance.
Shamu Begum and her four children lives down the lane from Nariman House. "My kids have to go for tuitions in the building next to Nariman House. I haven't allowed them to go for the last two days. We were initially scared. While Mumbai has seen frequent bomb blasts, Colaba has always been safe. There are so many foreigners here. It is a tourist area. So security is high here. I have never seen anything like this. I was scared about my kids. But that was the day before yesterday. After the commandos came I am not scared. I know that they came here alive. But the terrorists will leave here dead. Our commandos will kill them."
Raju also lives in the same lane. "They (the terrorists) landed near Badhwar Park (an area close to Nariman House) and ran down this lane. They first shot a young boy and then hurled a grenade at the petrol pump. Luckily, nothing happened to the pump. If the grenade had exploded, the whole area would have been devastated."
Once the terrorists entered Nariman House the locals did not know what to do, and waited for the Mumbai police to do something. But the fact that Israelis were held hostage, it had to be the NSG commandos who did the job.
"We are sad for the families who lost their lives," one NSG officer said as the commandos left the site. "Those bastards killed them. We are also sorry that we had to destroy most of the building, we had no choice. But we did not spare them."
After the NSG teams left, the Mumbai police took over the site. The bomb disposal squad and its sniffer dogs entered Nariman House to make sure that no bombs lurked there. "They will find a few grenades," Arutselvam told us.
"The Jews used to feed the poor who came there," Raju said. "They were nice people."
