~: The US Economic Reports show Improvement, but not Enough to Suggest Lower Unemployment ahead: ~ Courtesy: Economic Crisis Cartoon [ The US analysts should understand one thing : The unemployment factor cannot always be a function of economic activity in the country. It is because during the slow down (or even during boom times) many US companies are known to shift jobs to cheaper destinations like India, Vietnam, Philiphines, Brazil, China, Bangladesh, Taiwan, etc. to make them look competitive in the international perspective. Hence, if the US Economy is improving then it is a very "Strong Signal" both for the US and for the Emerging Economies. Therefore, these US analysts should stop hammering this "Not so Sufficiently Strong Economic Indicator" all the time or whenever they do not find any "Whipping Boy" to fill their pages and television networks]. WASHINGTON (AP) -- The economy is showing signs of modest improvement -- not enough to reduce hig...

Dow Theory Dead? Greece Trumps Reliable Stock Signal An Uptrend In a normal market, the wide disparity between the Dow Jones Industrial Average and technicals would be screaming an ugly message, but these are not normal times. That's because the massive amount of headline risk-market moves driven by the constant churn of big news events-is at an apex and rendering the aforementioned cornerstone of Dow Theory extremely unreliable...if not useless. Blame it on Greece, if you will, as the seemingly daily twists and turns to the European debt saga are essentially the only market movers nowadays. "In the short term, we know the market is run by headlines and emotions. Dow Theory says that's not the case, but in reality we know that is the case," says Andre Julian, senior market strategist at OpVest Wealth Management. "Whatever happens in Europe is what drives the market. In the very short term, it's tough to look at technicals." Dow Theory has six basi...

ANOTHER OF THOSE "YELLOW ARTICLES" FROM THE ECONOMIC TIMES WHICH HAS A MOTIVATED HEADLINE TARGETING SOME GROUPS POSSIBLY!! IT companies jittery on sluggish US growth, EU debt crisis: Assocham DELHI : Major IT and BPO companies in the country are jittery amid fears of another economic slump in the US and a debt crisis in Europe, according to industry body Assocham. [Is this what Assocham said? Or it only focussed about the hiring in the IT sector? Why does a section of the domestic and international media was to install unnecessary fear on the minds of people?] About 55 per cent respondents said that while the sector is unfazed from S&P's downgrade of the US credit rating and that the slowdown is temporary, it would surely hamper the hiring activity across the sector. [So how does the "FAULTY HEADLINE" of this highly padded article, justify, when the majority said, "The sector is UNFAZED and the slowdown is TEMPORARY"? During the time of slowdown, i...

~: MARKET MANTRA :~ Rolta Ltd Targets  have been achieved today of  yesterday's Nifty 4900 call. My next target for Nifty stands at 5150 in the short term and already Nifty has broken out of a range and is menacingly moving  up. Congratulations to those who have made money from this Free call of mine. Today I have recommended the following scrips to both the Free and Paid Groups:  (i) Allied Digital Services Ltd at Rs.27.50, SL--Rs.24, T--Rs.35. The fall in the INR against the USD will help the company. It gets around 30% of its revenues from the overseas market and hence there is some stability of income for this company. (ii) Rolta Ltd at Rs.94-95, T-Rs.114, SL--Rs.91.7. The stock is also looking good on the daily charts. The company gets around 30% of its revenues from the domestic market and one of its recent products has got good response from the customers. There is a report on my blog at: www.sumanspeaksplus.blogspot.com. (iii) Pondy Oxides and Chemicals Lt...

~: WINNING STROKES: THINK DIFFERENT :~ Today, the markets behaved as expected,  soon after a positive start it was under the bear grip. The Sensex hit one-month low. The market soon came off lows. The intraday recovery proved short-lived as the Sensex hit fresh one-month low in morning trade. But then late buying pulled the Nifty above 4800 mark. Today, I sent the following message first to the Paid Service Members and then to the Free members: 'Nifty is now at 4771 and it seems it will not break hurriedly 4700-4750 ranges...Risk taking Investors/Traders can slowly start averaging from here or buy 4900 call'....After that Nifty recovered by more than 100 points. At one time it was thought that the Nifty would close in the Green, however,  in the last half and hour the Nifty shed some points to close  above the psychological level of 4800 while the Sensex closed above 16,000 mark. Another thing which I had shared with my friend in Facebook is that: 'This may be one of the...
