WINNING STROKE: THINK DIFFERENT:
The Indian Stock market as expected negated the "big win" by Mr.Barrack Hussein Obama, as the Sensex tanked by more than 500 points in the late trade; European markets close in the green---so where is the real celebration??!!. I had earlier mentioned that world-wide bourses would have gone mad if Mr.McCaine have won the US elections.
In another development, I watched the live and dead bytes of US elections as the English TV (News) Channels had a virtual stampede to create a circus of sorts in India. It seemed that there is only one man in the world, who is important?? I did not understand the reasons of the producers of almost all English News Channels to turn schizophrenic over this issue; which looking from Indian point of view has very little significance. Indians should introspect themselves rather than focusing their camera on foreign soil. I just want to know the percentage of total number of students going to the US to study in comparison to all the students in all universities. One statistics showed that it is not more than 1%. So should we use our resources for 1% of Indian Population forgetting everything, which afflicts us everyday?? Shame!! Just watach how much time US media channels spares for Indian Elections which are due only some month ahead.
On the other side, the intelligent gentleman could sell every bit of him to get an entry into White House: from retaining his middle name as Hussein, giving an impression that he is a Muslim, carefully hiding the fact that he was raised by a white women or having been born to a white mother or Never having gone to a Mosque to Pray, keeping an idol of Hanuman with him giving the impression that he also endorses Hinduism and the most important part, selling himself as a Black-Afro-American, while the truth is that he is only an American and colour of his skin could have been white also or tanned, if the accident had not happened during his birth...lol...lol..
So we have a perfect cocktail for a full length novel in Mr.Obama. Great Gentleman!! People should learn from you, how to sell an American Dream!!
Meanwhile both the European and Indian markets rejected his socialistic approach to solve the problems in the US. While most of the English News Channels talked of history being created, I did not find an iota of history in his victory, except the fact that a person having a questionable birth certificate being elected, using the Economic Downturn as a major tool or down playing the efforts of Mr.George Bush to clear the world of Terrorists. I thought dirty politics are being played in India, but I am ashamed to see the "Gorgons Head" there also--albeit in high-tech manner.
All these talks of outsourcing which the English media suddenly found, after glorifying the Democrats throughout the 22 months campaign are all just empty rhetoric. The truth is that Mr.Obama and his team will have tough time ahead to generate the interest payment of $700 billion rescue package. So what he will do---simple...!! Yes got it right....What does every socialist do..??!! Screw up all the wealthy class, distribute the same to the poor and make them so lazy, that in future they will find no interest in hard work. This in turn generates a class or proletariat's, who shout the RED PARTY SLOGANS, to survive and the party continues to survive, till the state is bankrupt or there are no more rich people to milk.....It remains to be seen what is behind the lines of "Yes we can do it" or "We shall overcome"--a song which is often sung by Indian Communists, vainly.
However, my good wishes are with Mr.Obama so that either he generates non-destructible ideas or someone give him good advices/ideas so that USA does not become USSA, much to the chagrin of the world community. I wish him success in all his future endeavours. Also my sincere thanks to Sen McCain who suffered a lot for his country and gave an unflinching fight to this young man, in spite of having limited resources.
It also remains to be seen in which country will the cameras of Indian Media channels roll shamelessly, after the circus of the US elections gets completed today/tomorrow. May be next time the destination could be Kenya or Iran---who knows.....
Anyway, today Reliance Industries Ltd fells on the some concerns. People only talk of gross refining margins or fall in the price of petrochemical products; but what about the price of raw materials which is crude oil, whose price has corrected more than 50% from its peak value. So is the Reliance Actually making losses on its produce?? I do not think so.....but in case of upstream products unless the crude price rises, almost all the drilling and exploration companies could go bankrupt. Hence the crude oil price cannot stay here for too long.
For the time being we do not have to worry too much as Mr.Bush is still in control of the helm of affairs and he will continue till 20th January, 2009. So we could see some rally unfolding in the Indian Bourses till the Democrats starts to enter White House.
Indian Economy is going very strong and most importantly construction, real estate or IT Sector are expected to do well in the days to come. If the US economy really becomes strong, under the leadership of Mr.Obama, then IT will be the biggest beneficiary. Hence we should accumulate IT counters on all declines as more or less the outsourcing story has been put to rest for the time being.
Today English Indian Clay Ltd touched Rs.345 before cooling down a bit. The stock is expected to give mind boggling return in the next 12 months time frame.
Kamanwala Housing Construction Ltd, Vijay Shanti Builders Ltd and Sahyadri Industries Ltd hit the buyer freeze.
Besides my earlier recommended SEL Manufacturing, HOV Services Ltd, H B Stockholding, CDH Developers Ltd (snatch this scrip from the hands of the bears quickly), Western India Shipyard, Pioneer Distilleries Ltd, Crest Animation Ltd, Marsons Ltd, etc hit the buyer freeze......
Obama's views on all things
Democrat Barack Obama, who was elected as the 44th President of the United States, is known to be an admirer of world's largest democracy as well as father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi. Following are excerpts of some of his quotations:
On present Indo-US ties: "With India, America has one of its most important relationships in an uncertain world...both countries, India and America, are working to protect their people and values of 21st century threats while at the same time respecting the rule of law and cultural pluralism."
On Indo-US ties under an Obama Administration: "I will move forward to build a close strategic partnership between the US and India when I am president of the United States."
On shared Indo-US democratic values: "The world's oldest democracy and the world's largest democracy are natural partners, sharing important interests and fundamental democratic values."
On terrorism, India and the US: "Both countries have been victims of catastrophic terrorist attacks and we have a shared interest in succeeding in the fight against al-Qaeda and its operational and ideological affiliates."
On Mahatma Gandhi: "In my life, I have always looked to Mahatma Gandhi as an inspiration, because he embodies the kind of transformational change that can be made when ordinary people come together to do extraordinary things. Gandhi's significance is universal. Countless people around the world have been touched by his spirit and example."
On the Indo-US nuclear deal: "I voted for the US-India nuclear agreement because India is a strong democracy and a natural strategic partner for the US in the 21st century."
On Kashmir: "We should probably try to facilitate a better understanding between Pakistan and India and try to resolve the Kashmir crisis so that they (Pakistan) can stay focused not on India, but on the situation with those militants."
On Chandrayaan-I: "With India's launch of its first unmanned lunar spacecraft following closely on the heels of China's first spacewalk, we are reminded just how urgently the United States must revitalise its space programme if we are to remain the undisputed leader in space, science, and technology."
