Aksh Optifibre ties up with Eros International to bring Bollywood to IPTV

Aksh Optifibre Ltd has entered into a three-year agreement with Eros, one of the leading players in Indian filmed entertainment, for distribution of Eros’ movie content showcased within a branded video-on-demand (VoD) service on Aksh-MTNL’s IPTV platform.
Eros has a library of over 1,000 movies and will provide a service showcasing its filmed entertainment content through VoD, subscription VoD and 24-hour Eros-branded linear channel film entertainment, music videos, new film promos, celebrity interviews, award nights and more. A selection of movies would be changed every month.
Aksh Tel (Aksh’s IPTV services) currently has 150 channels accessible to its subscribers. This collaboration with Eros brings to Aksh Tel subscribers entertainment at an economical rate in the comfort of their homes.
Commenting on the collaboration, Dr Choudhari, MD, Aksh Optifibre, said, “Eros is one of the largest producers of new Bollywood content, and this association would power the true experience of instant and interactive VoD services for Aksh-Tel IPTV subscribers.”
